"Be valiant in your pursuit of what makes your life worth living"
My Academic Journey
GRowing up I always had a keen interest in Science. Although attending low income Public schools meant opportunities were far in-between, I made sure to make the most of it and here I am pursuing my dreams to the fullest at unc-ch.
01 PROFESSIONAL
My Hobby
In my spare time, I thoroughly enjoy participating in all kinds of sports. My favorite sports are soccer, football, and basketball. I took up soccer from an early age in Ghana as every year my village hosted a tournament consisting of four-person teams. The competition was ferocious. The electricity and energy I witnessed as the village teams clashed drew me in. It wasn’t so much a matter of winning or losing. It was the level of skill, confidence, and sheer gritty effort that impressed me. I was later introduced to basketball and football when I moved back to the US. Sports is a way for me to bond with teammates, feel connected to a community, and push myself to try on new roles and responsibilities in service of the greater good. Thus, given my keen interest in the medical profession this will put me at an advantage in being able to showcase my teamwork and communication skills while working as a team to administer adequate healthcare.
Key Skills I Possess
Connectedness
99.9%
This skill illustrates me helping people understand how they are linked across
time, distance, race, ethnicity, religion, economic levels, languages, or cultures. Making it possible for individuals to work together, while also aiming to break down barriers that separate them. Having this skill as a medical professional is great as you would come across a host of people from different backgrounds with different causes.
Individualization
99.9%
This skill illustrates me to be intrigued with the unique qualities of each person I may come across. Figuring out how people who are different can work together productively. Rather than let differences separate them, pointing out areas
where they share similar backgrounds, thinking styles, work styles, or interests is more productive towards achieving the set goal.
Achiever
This skill illustrates me having a great deal of stamina and working hard.
Taking great satisfaction from being busy and productive. Driven by my talents, I ordinarily rely on my physical and mental abilities to create orderly systems for
managing my time, work, or resources. I sequence the steps of processes or plans before beginning tasks
99.9%
Analytical
99.9%
This skill illustrates me searching for reasons and causes and having the
ability to think about all the factors that might affect a situation. Pinpointing emerging trends, determining areas of stable performance, and identifying problems in their earliest stages.
